Simon and Melody > Charles Bridge is lined by statues from the 18th century, along with jewellery stalls, portrait artists, and the odd jazz band. Not to mention tons of tourists at almost any time of the year.

Simon and Melody > Not sure if this is for supposed good luck or for fertility, but judging by the number of old ladies that rubbed it, my guess is the former! (PS. We didn't know it at the time, but Mel was actually about 3 days pregnant in this picture!)
Simon and Melody > I got up at dawn to take a picture of Charles Bridge, sans the hordes of tourists. Definitely much more peaceful. The only other people there were those too jetlagged to sleep!
