We went to Munich for two days to see the Christmas markets and took a day trip to Castle Neuschwanstein (the "Cinderella Castle").

Simon and Melody > We got a 1.5 hour Sunday evening flight from London to Munich. On Monday morning we headed to the Hauptbahnhof ("central station") where we were scheduled to take a two hour train ride to see Castle Neuschwanstein. This is a fancy high speed German train.
Simon and Melody > This is our train. Neither fancy nor high speed :) In fact we were shocked when it was 5 minutes late (Germans are known for their punctuality). Later we had a connection that allowed only 3 minutes but thankfully the driver made up for lost time and we made it.
Simon and Melody > Nap time.
Simon and Melody > When we got off the train in Fussen, Arwyn sees her first real live "noma" ("snowman")!

Simon and Melody > The trek up to the castle was a good 30 minutes up-hill. It was around 0 degrees but I was in a t-shirt by the time I got to the top (I was pushing the buggy). There were quite a few envious glances at Arwyn cuddled in her chariot.

Simon and Melody > Ha ha! Everyone else had to walk! Suckers!
Simon and Melody > Inside the castle gates. Unfortunately we had a timed entry for 2:45pm and we got there at 1:15. I had assumed there would be lookouts and other things to do while we waited but I was wrong. Not much to do but sit in the courtyard and freeze! :S Twice I visited the gent's just to thaw out my hands using the dryer.
